Our story
Every painting began with one person, alone in a room, reaching for something larger than their own life, and giving it form.
Most never found out how far it would travel. They didn't know their names would outlive their cities, or who would stand in front of their work in a hundred years, or five hundred.
They couldn't have known it would be you.
And yet, when you meet it, something in you recognizes something in them. A delight. A longing. A sweet distress. However much time lies between your lives, your souls meet there, and for a moment a stranger from another century feels like a distant friend.
Look long. Let it find you.

The name
In 1739 the mathematician Leonhard Euler published a theory of music that tried to measure why some harmonies please us more than others. A few years earlier, with the seven bridges of Königsberg, he had invented the mathematics of connection. Euler's Pick, our way of finding the painting that's yours, does what he worked on: it measures the nearest connections between your taste and the collection.
In a sunflower, every seed grows at the golden angle, 137.5°, to the one before it. The pattern keeps growing without crowding, and every seed spirals out from the same centre: countless people across the centuries, each in their own place, all coming from the same source.
